EBSD characterization of Al7075/graphene nanoplates/carbon nanotubes composites processed through post-deformation annealing

The effects of the post-deformation annealing on microstructural evolution hot rolled Al7075 matrix composites reinforced with CNTs and GNPs were investigated. multi-pass rolling was applied stir cast samples. Annealing then to at 450 °C for 4 h. Microstructural examined by SEM, EDS, EBSD techniques. data showed that addition 0.87 vol.% (GNPs + CNTs) significantly inhibited occurrence recrystallization. Also, in composite 0.96 CNTs, recrystallization partially inhibited. Whereas, 0.92 GNPs, through particle stimulated nucleation (PSN) mechanism accelerated. volume fraction recrystallized grains depends PSN presence reinforcements. intensity type main components texture as well FCC fibers depend reinforcement.
